Signs That You Need To Heal Your Inner Child

Each one of us has an inner child - which is defined in popular psychology as an individual's childlike aspect - who '' makes '' us behave and react to certain circumstances in a specific way based on the experiences and the knowledge you learned as a child. it's their own way to '' protect '' us from the '' outside '' world . Regardless of the how '' bad '' or ''good'' the reactions are .

I believe that every human being have experienced traumas in their childhood or still experience them , So either we're aware of what happened in the past and how we were effected by them or not , we live by the consequences of them .

Try answering those questions , the more you say "yes" the more you need to consider healing your inner child :

  1. Are you a people-pleaser ?
  2. Do you often find yourself feeling guilty for saying no to things that don't serve you ?
  3. Do you find it difficult to start or finish a task ?
  4. Do you avoid conflicts at all costs ?
  5. Do you feel that you're not close to one of your parents or one of them ?
  6. Do you feel afraid of being under the spotlight ?
  7. Do you constantly criticize yourself ?
  8. Do you experience anxiety every time you want to start something new ?
  9. Do you tend to sabotage every relationship in your life ?
  10. Do you feel that there's something wrong with you ?
  11. Do you have too rigid or no boundaries at all ?
  12. Do you tend to distrust yourself and/or others ?
Our inner child does not disappear once we become adults. On the contrary, it stays within us, reminding us of all the wounds we haven’t healed yet.
To begin healing, you first have to acknowledge your inner child’s presence , including the uncomfortable parts of yourself that inevitably come up to the surface.
Are you ready to do the work and start living as authentically as possible?
